This is the area for "Hot Topics" or common questions regarding boiler installations.    Let me try to answer a few of the common questions I hear from customers about the boilers.

Q. - Can the LDJ Amaizeing Heat Boiler be installed in a manner which allows for my existing boiler to be used as a backup?

A.  Absolutely!   With a proper connection to your exisiting system, any boiler can remain as a backup to the LDJ Amaizeing Heat Boiler.

Q. - Can I use a power vent with the LDJ Amaizeing Heat Boiler?

A. - No, not at this time.   The UL listing for the product specifies that it must be attached to a natural draft chimney.

Q. - Is the location of the hopper limited to one side of the boiler?

A.  - No, the hopper can be placed to either side of the boiler.

Q. - Why are there 6 pipe connections on the side of the boiler?

A. - One top connection is to be used to supply hot water to the heating system.  One bottom connection is to be used to return cooled water to the boiler to be re-heated.   The middle openings are used at the factory for inspecting and certifying the tank.   Those will simply be capped in the vast majority of installations.

Q. - Can I hook this up to a steam system?

A. - No.   The LDJ Amaizeing Heat Boiler is for hydronic heating use only.

Q. - Can I use this boiler to heat my domestic hot water?

A. - Yes, with the optional domestic water heating coil.   This can be factory installed or retrofitted at any time after initial installation.
