How do these products stack up to the competition? |
We recognize that other companies are building a similar looking product - and some of them even use the Amaizeing Heat name! But please do not be fooled - our competitor's product are not the same as the ones we sell here at Trycornheat. Here is a list of superior components which are found on the LDJ Amaizeing Heat furnaces and boilers: - Every LDJ Amaizeing Heat product which departs the factory carries a UL Listing. What does that mean to you? That means Underwriter Laboratories has reviewed the product and it is a safe, consistent product that reaches you, the customer. The vast majority of insurance companies will recognize that distinction and often require it to be insurable in your home.
- Every LDJ Amaizeing Heat product ships with a BTU input system. This system, exclusive to LDJ, allows you the owner or operator to set exactly the BTUs you need within a range of 80,000 to 165,000 BTUs. Why is this an advantage? Every structure has an optimium furnace size, with this unit you can set that yourself and in turn have the most efficent furnace setting. Other manufacturers will preset the size, thus being either too large or too small for most applications.
- Every LDJ Amaizeing Heat product ships with a Draft Gauge, to ensure that the draft is properly set. A proper amount of draft in your chimney will optimize the performace of the furnace or boiler. Without knowing the draft in your chimney, your unit may not be operating at peak performance.

The Bottom Fuel Feed System |
What makes our LDJ Amaizeing Heat units the best working biomass burning products on the market? The key is in the feed system. While most corn or other biomass burning products on the market today feed the fuel on top of the burning fire, the LDJ Amaizeing Heat products utilize a different system. These units feed the fuel into the bottom of the fire pot, and into the bottom of the fire.
(see the auger in bottom of fire pot in this picture) Why? Well clinkers will form when corn is burned, clinkers which need to be removed from the fire or the fire will eventually burn out. With a top feed system, they are either removed daily by you, the operator or some sort of mechanical device must be used to knock them out of the fire. One system on the market requires that their furnace be shut down and the fire pot swapped out - daily!
(normal fire and clinkers in the fire pot) In the case of the bottom feed system used by LDJ in the Amaizeing Heat furnace and boiler, any clinkers formed naturally are pushed out of the fire pot as new corn is fed into the fire. Put that simply - they work out themselves, without any effort on your part and without an extra mechanical device! This allows for a unit which will run continuously as long as it has fuel and is properly adjusted. Do you like simplicity? I do! This bottom feed system is simplicity at its best, and a key advantage the LDJ product has over the competition! Now I do find in my experience on occasion a clinker will have to be removed from the firepot area. But usually this happens at a rate of once every several weeks to a month - so its a long way from regular maintenance... |
